My April UFO quilt for the 2017 UFO Challenge took a little longer than the the month of April but I finally put the last binding stitches in yesterday. I bought the fabric for this quilt awhile ago when I lived in Michigan and when Christina's Quilt Shop was originally opened. It's since closed and re-opened which is exciting, too bad I live so far away now. This is another quilt that made the move from Michigan to North Carolina in the form of a jelly roll and straight yardage. The joy of being an empty nester I've been able to spend more time quilting during the school year than in years past so I started piecing this quilt in February. I finished the piecing in May and as with 7 other quilts it's been waiting to be quilted. Well April came and I was right on schedule pinning it at the beginning of the month but the quilting took a bit since we had some visitors. My hubby is happy I finally made a quilt long enough for him but this may be leaving the house in August for son 2's apartment at school.
