End of the year recap of quilts finished.

My goal in 2017 was to finish some of the many quilt tops that I have completed and to finish some of my WIPs, we I made some progress.  I finished 7 quilts, gifting 4 of them, and finished 3 WIPs which is not too bad for a full time teacher. Most of my quilting gets done in the summer and the draw back of living in North Carolina summers are hot and not very conducive for quilting big quilts but I persevered. My year in review with pictures.
January: finished the quilt top for Bonnie Hunter's 2016 mystery En Provence
March: Finished a WIP started back in the 90's when I first started quilting. I didn't like the colors I chose so I put it away for awhile but the end result was very pretty.
April: I finished a small lollipop quilt also started several years ago.
May: a bright fun green and black quilt
June-August: a baby quilt for great nephew, fun solid free spirit color therapy, Pat Sloan's 2016 mystery Secret Gardens, a green and blue quilt which I gave to my mother in law and I continued to work on my split nine patch leader ender.

September -December: Once school starts my quilting take a break at least for the first couple of months when I'm so busy but I was able to work on Moda's schoolhouse quilt, an Elm Creek Christmas quilt (which I had fabric from 2006 for) which I gifted to great neighbors who watch things and take care of my cats when we are away, another baby quilt and I also finished a Hobbes toy for great nephew Calvin because every Calvin needs a Hobbes.

I'm hoping that 2018 will lead to more finished quilts.
